GREAT NEWS!
With lenders becoming more and more flexible, it is now possible to get a loan approved with as little as 5% deposit without the need to show that you have genuinely saved that deposit.


Previously you needed to show six months savings record, evidencing your ability to save the minimum 5% deposit. That meant if you had sold a car, or had received an inheritance or a gift, you were unable to get the loan approved unless you provided a 10% deposit.


Well things have changed, and it is now possible to get a loan approved with no evidence of savings required, provided the money is not borrowed. So a gift from parents, tax refunds, sale of assets and even the first home owner’s grant are all acceptable sources of your minimum 5% deposit.


As this is not available through all lenders, the best option is to use a mortgage broker who has access to over 40 lenders and 400 home loan products.
